"Drag Race" Star Mimi Imfurst Crowned Miss’d America 2016

Carson Kressley emceed the annual drag pageant.

It was a RuPaul's Drag Race family affair last night, when Carson Kressley crowned Season Three queen Mimi Imfurst winner of the 2016 Miss'd America pageant in Atlantic City.

Mimi, who also appeared in the first season of All Stars, beat out nine other contestants with a sickening rendition of "Sweet Transvestite" from Rocky Horror and a cavalcade of looks that left the audience begging for more.

Asked who made her stunning gowns, Mimi teased "it was an army of twinks."

Last year's winner, Fifi Dubois, opened the show—and was in for a surprise when her boyfriend, Shane, proposed to her in front of the roaring crowd.

"I don't have feelings and I almost cried," beamed Kressley.

Shane confessed he had been planning the surprise proposal since Fifi's win last year.

Kressley was also honored by Atlantic City's openly gay mayor, Don Guardian, who proclaimed the Drag Race judge "Queen for a Day."

Miss’d America began in 1993, when stylists and costumers from the Miss America pageant were looking to have a little fun of their own and celebrate their community.

Proceeds from the show, part of the Borgata’s Out at Borgata initiative, benefit regional LGBT organizations including the Greater Atlantic City GLBT Alliance.
