Grammy-Nominated Singer MNEK Gives Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" A Whole New Sound

The openly gay pop star turns the Queen classic into a brand new jam.

MNEK is quickly making a name for himself in the music industry, and his new cover of Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" is only adding fuel to the fame flames.

The out musician recorded the track to be featured in a commercial for the fashion brand Strellen, but it was so well received that it's now available on iTunes and Spotify.

The cover flips the original track on its head, with the instrumental getting a makeover that fits MNEK's signature sound.

During an interview with Attitude magazine last year, the singer revealed why he didn't put on a huge display about being gay.

“I guess the main reason why I haven’t felt the need to make this announcement is because I should be able to function the same way a straight person can function," he said. "I don’t want to tell anyone, ‘This is how I live my life. Let me live my life and and I’ll tell you how to think about it.' I’m not going to do that. I’m at peace with that."
