Irate Moms Claim Daycare Worker Waxed Their Toddlers’ Eyebrows

"She has a unibrow—and she was born like that."

Two furious moms allege that employees at a daycare in Pasco, Washington, waxed their toddler’s eyebrows without their permission.

Alyssa Salgado and Glenda Maria Cruz, moms to a daughter and son, respectively, say their children appeared normal when they dropped the toddlers off at their local Boys and Girls Club daycare center. But when Salgado picked up her daughter, Lilayiah, she realized the little girl was missing her unibrow.

“I saw she was missing her patch of hair because she has a unibrow and she was born like that,” Salgado told KABC-TV Los Angeles.

Cruz, too, says her son was missing his unibrow—and when she tried to touch his bare patch of skin, he winced. “It hurts me because that’s my baby,” Cruz said.

In a statement, Boys and Girls Club executive director Brian Ace said the group is taking the allegations “very seriously.” An investigation is pending.
