Now, we know we all pretend that vacations are all about the sites and the museums and those special little shops you will never be able to find anywhere else in the world, but, let’s be honest — vacations are all about the food. So, with this in mind, we’re taking a look at five of the finest places to grab a bite up in Montreal.

This French restaurant is considered by many to be the best in all of Montreal, so get your reservations quick for lunch or dinner. And order the foie gras, of course.

Maison Boulud
Another French joint! It turns out famed chef Daniel Boulud is also a big deal with our neighbors to the north, as his Montreal hotspot, located in the Ritz-Carlton no less, is one of the hardest in the city to score a table at.

More French food! Head on over to one of Montreal’s most famed hotels, Auberge Bonaparte, to grab a bite at their equally famed restaurant.

This Latin American flavor palace has some of the best, and freshest, fish around. It also comes in handy if you want to eat something other than French food. (We kid!)

Joe Beef
A classic steakhouse in the heart of Little Burgundy, and the favorite restaurant of Momofuku chef David Chang. Now if that’s not a ringing endorsement, what is?
