Non-Binary Artist iO Tillett Wright Joins "Catfish" Star Nev Schulman For "MTV Suspect"

"I lived as a boy for eight years when I was a kid, and now I would say I’m figuring out my situation with it," says Wright.

Following on the success of Catfish, MTV is launching a new investigative series in which people try to get to the truth about their friends or family members.

Joining Catfish's Nev Schulman as co-host of MTV Suspect is artist-activist iO Tillett Wright, whose TED talk, "Fifty Shades of Gay," has been viewed by over 2.3 million people.

In a frank discussion with Nev, iO talks about growing up in New York's East Village and identifying as gender-nonbinary.

"I lived as a boy for eight years when I was a kid," says iO, "Now I would say I’m figuring out my situation with it."

Throughout the season, Nev and iO will meet people who suspect a loved one is transgender, has dropped out of school, is escorting and much more.

Below, watch the trailer for MTV Suspect, premiering February 24 at 11/10c on MTV.
