CBS Orders "Murphy Brown" Revival Starring Candice Bergen

She is not here for your fake news.

FYI is back on the air.

Continuing the current trend of TV revivals, CBS has ordered a new 13-episode season of the classic '90s sitcom, Murphy Brown.

Don't worry, Candice Bergen is set to reprise her titular role and creator Diane English will also return to helm the revival.

Murphy Brown returns to a world of cable news, social media, fake news and a very different political and cultural climate,” CBS said in a statement.

The original series ran from 1988 to 1998, achieving a high level of cultural notoriety during the 1992 presidential campaign when Dan Quayle criticized Murphy for ”mocking the importance of fathers by bearing a child alone and calling it just another ‘lifestyle choice.”’

Murphy Brown won 18 Emmys during its run, including two for Outstanding Comedy Series. Bergen won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series a record five times.

No word on whether the rest of the cast will return for the revival. Hopefully Charles Kimbrough and Faith Ford can make some room in their schedules. Sadly, Robert Pastorelli and Pat Corley passed away in 2004 and 2006, respectively.

A premiere date has not been announced.
