Okay, now the entire world (except for its legislators and the dumb folks running the U.S. of A.) is turning GAY!!!! Or at least gay-loving. Yes, Miley Cyrus, teen media queen, has professed that she is “ADDICTED” to RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Alas, the poor thing has gone from making multi-million-dollar movies and chart-topping singles to sitting on her sofa curled up with a bucket of McNuggets trying to figure out who’s fiercer, Tyra Sanchez or Tatianna. The world is a beautiful place.
But helleaux… Isn’t Miley just a drag queen herself? She’s even got a drag alter-ego who wears a blonde wig, prances around onstage for coin, and gets involved in crazy capers. Paging Hannah Montana!!!!
Anyway, in the Parade article (by gay celeb journalista Kevin Sessums) in which Miley professes her worship of all things RuPaul, she also discusses her love of Dolly Parton (her godmother!), the Obama girls, and her belief in gay marriage. Jesus F. Christ! WE ARE ALL MILEY CYRUS!!!
And just cuz… Here are pics of Miley with her other godmother, Elton John. And her ridic cute boyfriend/costar from The Last Song (zzzzzz…) Liam Hemsworth. Sigh.

The rock and roll pups of Hot Chelle Rae and chugging all over the U. S. these days, touring up a storm. Just in time to get splattered with green beer, they’re playing a gig tonight in NYC at Highline Ballroom.
But before they get too stained with dirty booze or jaded from a life of touring, mean women and rock-and-roll, we thought we’d talk to these delightful young lads. So above is what happened when we quizzed Nash, R.K., Ian and Jamie about becoming a band, their weird name, gay fans and rock gods. And watch their rip-roaring video for “I Like to Dance” below!
Enjoy! And keep your eyes on these guys. They’re gonna get big.
After the jump, HCR’s new video for their tune “Bleed.” Ouch!
I like Irish stuff. Irish guys can be cute. I like whiskey and manly green soap. And when I’ve travelled in Ireland I’ve met amazing, sweet, welcoming people. But St. Patrick’s Day in NYC is a drunken mess. Total amateur hour for dip-wads in floppy green hats and “I Shamrock NY” t-shirts.
But not to be a total stick-in-the-peat-bog, I’m celebrating with a nice Colin Farrell pic, a vintage Cranberries video (Love “Zombie”: Oh Dolores, where are thou?) and a mini-photo tribute to gay Irish folks (after the jump).

AND… If you’re frisky watch these Irish Spring commercials from1977 and 1979. OMG. Gayer than a leprechaun at a bathhouse in Killarney on Gay Pride!!!
So if you’re out drinking green beer, be careful. And if you’re in NYC watch out for that big dumb parade that won’t allow homos to march in it. Hmph.
Begorrah!

Good morning, Tokyo!!! Adam Lambert hit the stage for an event celebrating the release of his For Your Entertainment in Japan this week, and he rocked some even more spikes and even tighter pants for the occasion. Zoinks!!! PopEater’s got more deets and pics. According to his tweets, Glambert’s new duds are courtesy of the hot NYC design duo, The Blonds.

And here’s a fab Glambert Twitpic from @AdamLambert himself. It’s a shiny, spikey look he rocked on Tokyo TV. With extra sequins. Adam says the shoulders are inspired by sea urchins. And dig his krrraaazzyyy eyebrows. Glamajuku!

Last night, I somehow got invited to check out Rufus Wainwright’s secret showcase at the Rose Bar in the Gramercy Park Hotel here in NYC. The little room was packed! There were celebs galore (some I spotted, some I only read about this morning, as it was impossible to see everyone) and Rufus sidled up to a lovely grand piano, set in front of a the glowing fireplace in the center of the bar and proceeded to chatter dryly and amble through a set of songs from his forthcoming album, All Days Are Nights: Songs for Lulu, coming out April 20th.
The album features songs inspired some imagined antics of “Lulu” a flighty character who’s evidently based on the classic silent film actress Louise “Lulu” Brooks. And some songs, as Rufus explained, were about the two people most dear to him in the world — his boyfriend Jorn, and his sister Martha. And some songs are based on Shakespeare sonnets. A fun mix!

All in the all, the songs were gorgeous. Sweeping melodic piano and rhapsodic passages dominate, and lofty lyrics and just an epic orchestral vibe engulf the songs. They’re less poppy, more grandiose than Rufus’ previous works. And a bit like Philip Glass. Rufus began with “Who Are You New York?” and from then on, the audience was rapt.
One note: The Rose Bar charges a zillion dollars for cocktails. A vodka-soda cost $20!!! Eeeek! Anyway… Just had to vent. Oh, New York…
And here’s the celeb rundown; quite the turnout! Susan Sarandon and daughter Eva Amurri, Penn Badgely, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, Scarlett Johansson, Zachary Quinto, Alan Cumming, Michael Kors, Lou Reed, designer Christian Siriano and his boyfriend, musician Brad Walsh; Wainwright’s father, Loudon Wainwright III and art-rocker Casey Spooner, looking super-dapper in a three-piece suit (coming directly from an auction at Christies!). And of course, media types from the NY Times, Interview Magazine, New York Magazine and on and on.

Rufus will be touring the UK and Europe for much of April, May and June. Check out RufusWainwright.com for more info!
More pics from last night after the jump!!
