Buzz, buzz, buzz… The happy enthusiasm following NYC’s The Drums keeps building. Their full-on self-titled album will be out on September 14th, and they’re touring with Surfer Blood all over the U.S. and Europe this fall, so… it’s only gonna get more hectic (in a good way)..
Check out their beautiful and moody video for “Down by the Water.” It’s like an episode from a perky 60s pop-music show — gone emo and funereal. Waaaaah…
Also just out… The boys have served up a cover of Arcade Fire’s “We Used to Wait.” Maybe you’ll like this one, too?

Let it ho, let it ho, let it ho!
Whether she’s pregnant or not, Mariah Carey is definitely planning to drop at least one baby this holiday season. She’s gonna serve up her second Christmas album for the masses, to be titled Merry Christmas II You.
As you must recall, her 1994 Christmas album (titled aptly “Merry Christmas”) is a total classic (and I’m not being the slightest bit sarcastic; it’s legendary) as it spawned the best holiday tune in recent decades, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” But can the mad mama deliver again?
Word (and Idolator) has it that this new holiday tune-fest will be chock full of original material as well as covers of holiday classics. It’s due on November 2. And Rap-Up reports that cover was shot months ago with David LaChapelle. So it’d better be pretty!!!

THIS IS NSFW: Cover your ears kids, and I’m sure I probably can’t really post this without getting in trouble but… Here goes!
Cee-Lo Green’s viral hit “F**k You” has a new official video and it’s super-adorable. As always, I want a trio of nimble, sassy black ladies in shimmering dresses to follow me through life punctuating my triumphs and tragedies with sassy sing-along commentary… But until then, I’ll just enjoy this clip.
And who doesn’t love watching kids curse? Good stuff!!! It’s after the jump!

And you thought your weekend was gay!
Kylie Minoque and Rufus Wainwright teamed up onstage this past Saturday night in Watermill in the Hamptons (that’s out on swanky Long Island, NY) for an artsy benefit, and the results were pretty darn festive.
I’m afraid you’ll have to endure some low-quality YouTube videos to get a sampling of the sass they served, but they teamed up for versions of some of Kylie’s best gems, including “All the Lovers,” “Can’t Get You Out of My Head”, the 70s classic “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”, a really fab take on the Rodgers and Hammerstein Carousel classic “If I Loved You” (which Wainwright aptly dubbed a “perfect duet for a gay guy and straight girl”) and an especially bluesy version of “Locomotion.”
Watch a full, very grainy version of “Locomotion” or a better-quality snippet of part of the song.
