A Star-Studded “My Little Pony” Movie Trailer Dropped—And It’s A Lot

A trailer for My Little Pony: The Movie promises “a movie event of pony proportions,” and we’re listening.

The two-minute teaser opens with views of the beautiful land of Equestria: “Life is perfect here,” announces pony Twilight Sparkle, voiced by voice actress Tara Strong. “I mean, what could possibly go wrong?”

But things take a dark turn when villainess Tempest Shadow (Emily Blunt) releases her unbridled rage on the horsies. “How about we start with your complete and total surrender?”

Ursula and Yzma, you might have some competition for nastiest cartoon queen.

The kid-friendly flick, coming to theaters in October, also includes the voices of Zoe Sandala, Kristin Chenoweth, Uzo Aduba, Liev Schreiber, Michael Peña, and Sia, who also penned a song for the film.

The brony army took to Twitter to share their thoughts after the trailer’s release.
