The international holiday was established to not only raise awareness for cyclist safety on city roads, but also body positivity. Revelers in Manchester gleefully took to the streets in droves, unabashedly baring it all for the world to see.

An organizer for the event, Andrew Fisher, spoke about the importance of the day.

It’s all about getting cyclists to be more visible on roads. Drivers say they don’t see you, we’re saying cyclists need to be seen to get their fair share of the road. We think around 250 people have taken part this year, and every year the event gets bigger. The atmosphere was brilliant.

Some detractors of W.N.B.R. claim those partaking in the naked fun are abusing public nudity laws, as police in numerous cities in Europe and Canada have attempted to stop the festivities, resulting in arrests.

Earlier this month, during Canterbury, UK's celebration, a man had to be removed from the event after becoming "aroused" in his lower regions.

Let the naked flag fly, coppers.
