Nashville has always been full of drama, but now that the country music soap is about to start its final season Nashies know that the show is going to go out with an explosive bang.
The latest sneak preview of the new season is almost no talk and all action as various characters kiss, cry and kiss some more—including Nashville’s resident gay, Will Lexington (Chris Carmack), who is seen locking lips with a new man.
When we last left Will, he and his Silicon Valley boyfriend Zach (Cameron Scoggins) were on the rocks after Zach almost pulled funding for Deacon’s (Charles Esten) record label, Highway 65.
Time will only tell if Will and Zach make it, but now that Zach is a partner at Highway 65 and Scoggins was made a series regular last year, we’re guessing he’s going to stick around and cause more trouble, even if he’s no longer with Will.
Will Lexington has always been a prominent gay character on Nashville, but last season the series included LGBT actors with a storyline featuring Murray Bartlett (Looking), who played an out fashion designer who had his eye on Will, and trans actress and writer Jen Richards, who made an appearance as Juliette Barnes’ (Hayden Panetterie) physical therapy nurse.
Watch the new teaser below and get your guitar tuned in time for Nashville’s return on January 4.
