Naya Rivera was on The View yesterday and made some memorable comments about showering and hygiene. She was responding to co-host Nicolle Wallace who claims to shower three times a day-- admittedly a little excessive. Rivera responded with, "I think that white people shower a lot more than ethnics."

Oy. I think a lot of "ethnics" would prefer that Rivera speak only for herself. In fact an African American woman in the audience was quick to disagree.

The Glee actress dug further with, "I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing."

Rivera claims to wash off about once every three days-- in contrast to her new husband Ryan Dorsey. "I’m now married to a white man, and he showers a lot, like two, three times a day.”

You know, there's probably a lot of people out there of all ethnicities who go a few days sometimes between bathing- no biggie. And that's probably the norm in Europe. But not sure how many Americans would volunteer that info on national television. Good on Rivera for her honesty, I guess.
