The NCTE website is chockfull of resources: Check out “Know Your Rights”, which provides extensive information on legal protections—everything from what to do if you have issues going through airport security to updating the gender on your Social Security card. And don't worry if you're not a wonk: NCTE opts for straightforward language over legal jargon.

If you have a few extra minutes, look through the “Action Centers” page for details on fighting back on the local and national level. NCTE is currently highlighting initiatives for fair school policies and trans-inclusive legislation.
