We were just browsing our favorite news outlet, Twitter, when we realized Neil Patrick Harris had just given us our first look at his transformation into Hedwig for his upcoming Broadway show, Hedwig and the Angry Inch. And here it is:

We like the glitter and the lipstick and the runny makeup, but something about this all still makes us really miss the original Hedwig, and the show's creator, John Cameron Mitchell.

Maybe we need to wait until we see NPH in a wig dress to be certain, as it takes a real man to shimmy around in another lady's hair.
