Neil Patrick Harris is on the over of Out this month, and tells the magazine he's eager to break America's perception of him as a sitcom star. He even got producers to change the traditional Wednesday afternoon matinee to a late-night show on Saturday, just to keep the blue-haired ladies away.

“Part of Hedwig is Iggy Pop in all of his fucked-up glory. So I’m looking forward to squatting down in front of the first row and having people spit in my mouth. It’s that kind of show," he says. I’m anxious, one night, to fall backwards and be led on my back by people with their hands outstretched.” He pauses. “I don’t think that will ever happen, but that’s the vibe I’m looking for... I don’t fucking care — you gotta go to a nasty place.”

"I believe [marriage equality] is a wedge issue that forces young people into the Democratic Party's hands," Jacob Vandever, a candidate for the Legislature, told The Oregonian. Last month Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum said she would not defend the state's current ban on same-sex marriage.

Pop sensation Lorde wasn't having it when an Australian radio DJ joked about her and Taylor Swift being a couple. The "Royals" singer was being interviewed on KIIS 1065's Kyle & Jackie Show when host Kyle Sandilands asked "Are you bringing your new bestie, Taylor Swift? I see your guys' pictures everywhere. Are you guys, like, uh, are you together now?...Not together as in lesbians…I'm not talking about 'Ellen together.' I'm talking about, like, you guys are friendly, right?"

Lorde snapped back, "What do you mean you're not talking about 'Ellen together?' Is there something wrong with lesbians? Is that what you're trying to say?"

"Oh my god, no, I would love that," Sandilands replied. "Are you going to confirm now that you're in a lesbian relationship with her?"

"Don't ever try it. It's not working," said Lorde of his lame gay-baiting.

Our kind of girl.
