Bianca Del Rio, "Schitt's Creek" Cast Headline Netflix's First Comedy Fest

Along with Trixie Mattel and pretty much every other queer comic you can think of.

Get ready to laugh across all of Los Angeles.

Netflix has announced it's getting into the live event business with its first Netflix Is a Joke Fest, inspired by the streaming service's popular YouTube channel.

The inaugural comedy festival will take place April 27-May 3 at 20 L.A. venues, including the Hollywood Bowl, the Greek Theatre, and Hollywood Palladium. Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, David Letterman, Amy Schumer, and Chelsea Handler are just some of the big names scheduled to participate in the fest.

One event of special interest to queer comedy lovers is Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration, a stand-up showcase with headliners Alan Carr, Hannah Gadsby, Margaret Cho, Rosie O'Donnell, Sandra Bernhard, and Wanda Sykes.

The evening will also feature Bianca Del Rio, Fortune Feimster, Gina Yashere, Guy Branum, James Adomian, Joel Kim Booster, Judy Gold, Lea DeLaria, Mae Martin, Marsha Warfield, Matteo Lane, Patti Harrison, Rhea Butcher, Sam Jay, Scott Thompson, Solomon Georgio, and Trixie Mattel; presenters will include Demi Lovato, Graham Norton, and Ruby Rose.

Stand Out, set for May 1 at the Greek Theatre, will be "an unforgettable and unprecedented stand-up event," according to an official description. "With special celebrity guests and surprise musical performances, you’re not gonna wanna miss this once in a lifetime show."

The Roses are making an appearance with Schitt’s Creek: The Farewell Tour, where the cast will "present a live and interactive evening that gives fans an insider’s look into the making of the series."

There will also be a night of all-female comedians, hosted by Grace and Frankie stars Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda.

It’s a chance for comedy lovers to come together and see their favorite artists as well as discover new ones, and for us to be able to share the electricity and excitement of the festival in Los Angeles with Netflix members around the world.”

Tickets for the Netflix Is a Joke Fest go on sale March 6.
