New Britney Spears "Hold It Against Me" Video Detected on the Horizon! Payload Imminent!

“Are those 6,795 hastily wired microphones you’ve got there, or are you just dangerously pleased to see me?” Thanks for the TwitPic, Brit!

It’s official – the alien known as Britney Spears returns March 15th. Yes, our favorite one-time skinhead, occasional Circus ringmaster and eternally naughty schoolgirl is back. Her new starship to success? According to a leaked one-sheet, a fully pimped-out new album with the decidedly oomph-less title of “TBD”. Humph… Reminds me of that Arrested Development episode about the nameless disease. Somebody’s glitz is on the fritz!

(I’m kidding – I totally realize that’s a placeholder for the actual title, still forthcoming. Or at least, I do now, one swift and even more swiftly embarrassing Google search for ‘meanings of the acronym TBD’ later. Ahem. Ah, the wonders of technology!)

And speaking of the technology and the “Toxic” one, Brit has been tweeting from the set of the music video for new single “Hold It Against Me.” Look like she’s got it all hooked up…

Furthermore, an on-set source recently told MTV News that we could expect of the video for Brit-Brit’s new single a “21st century Rocky Horror, space age fantastia of dance.” What a cocktail! My jets are in severe need of cooling.

Like E.T. within grasping distance of Reese’s pieces, even Jersey Shore’s Pauly D is frothing at the mouth to get a bite of the all-new Britney. In an interview with Billboard.com, he says Britney’s new jams are “amazing.” He adds, “You can definitely play her stuff in the club… (but) she has some tracks you can play in the car, too.” Ew… If we said you had a beautiful body, Pauly D, would you go far away and please, please not hold it against us?

Nastier space cadets aside, are we or are we not excited for a barrage of new Britney on March 15? Fire away, captain B! Fire away.
