Oh Bruno Mars, thank you for saying what is on everyone’s mind! The countdown to Summer 2011 has officially begun, and “The Lazy Song” is the perfect wind down from a very bumpy winter and spring. School is almost over, and all the students of the world are beyond ready to sit around and do nothing. (What? We've earned it.)

And while faux-lumberjacks in Brooklyn have been working the look for a while now, Bruno just made plaid shirts and dark wash jeans so attractive for the rest of us. Apparently, The Get Up Kids are not the only ones dressing up in animal costumes this year. And Cazwell and his hunky monkeys don't completely own the market of simian male bonding. Fuzzy friends are in! And who wouldn’t want to kick it with a bunch of whistling boys in monkey masks in their underwear? While I probably wouldn’t be sitting around with my hand in my pants, lying in bed sounds like complete and utter bliss.

This song is gold, “I ain’t gonna comb my hair, because I’m not going anywhere.”

The Lazy Song might just be my new lifetime aspiration, or at least once a week anyway… (okay, every afternoon)
