New Valentine's Day Indie Music: NYC's Xavier & SF's Ex-Boyfriends Bring the Sweetness!

OK, I'm not especially Valentines-y, but I can't help but post another Valentine-related item, especially when it's just about sending you some good music.

Two notable indie music acts, NYC's soulful singer Xavier and San Francisco's adorable band known as Ex-Boyfriends both have new music out in honor of Valentine's Day, and you need to be clued in.

First, Xavier has a free download of his special Valentine's Day song, a cover of Curtis Mayfield's "The Makings of You." Get it at XavierMusic.com. Xavier's been serving up a special V-Day tune annually for the last few years, and this one is truly fine. It's a percussive, melodic, sort of rapturous rumination on love and a lover. It's languid and sweet. Get into it!

And from Cali, the almost bearishly adorable gay trio Ex-Boyfriends have debuted a killer new video today for their song "Uh-Oh." The song is an upbeat break-up song, and the video is gorgeous, cool and romantically peppy too. It's sad--but then it's not. Awwwwww.

Watch "Uh-Oh" now!

And no, these Exes aren't really violent. They just like some dramatic pics. But really... When isn't love bloody?

Happy Valentine's Day from the Ex-Boyfriends! XOXO
