5 Fabulous New York City Drag Shows

Maybe you've seen a LOT of RuPaul's Drag Race, rewatching old seasons until the All Stars season on October 22nd (like I need to remind you.) Maybe you're new to the city and want to know where to go for your weekly drag-fix. Or maybe, just maybe, you're absolutely bored with the same old overpriced bars and want to get something more out of your Saturday...something that sparkles. Well, New York being the place for everything and anything, this fine city has some great venues famous for some good ol' crossdressing fun. And here are some of the best places to be:

Lips NYC (227 East 56th Street)

Open Tuesdays through Sunday, this self-proclaimed “Disneyland of Drag” is a great place to catch some drag with dinner, as well as karaoke and bingo on certain nights.

The Stonewall Inn (53 Christopher Street)

The historic birthplace of pride, this bar is a must-see in general, but especially on every other Sunday night starting at 10pm when the drag performances begin.

Lucky Cheng’s (24 First Ave)

Snooki and JWoww paid a visit to this famous home of drag, and even their clearly-uncomfortable beaus had a little fun (just kidding, they LOVED it.)

Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street)

Every Saturday night, the sassy Linda Simpson hosts bingo and the “Wheel of Chance” at this popular West Village music venue. Prepare for a classy night!

Therapy (348 West 52nd Street)

Therapy hosts a variety of weekly drag events, such as “Bipolar Mondays” starring Sherry Vine and Epiphany, “Cattle Call” on Wednesdays starring Peppermint, and “So You Think You Can Go Go” on Thursdays.
