Trans Model Andreja Pejic Makes Her Return To The Runway
Andreja Pejic returned to the spotlight this week at London Fashion Week, hitting the catwalk in the Giles fashion show, the first time the 23-year-old beauty has walked in a runway show since transitioning.

Pejic came out as trans last summer, but had previously modeled both men and women's fashions for iconic designers like Jean Paul Gaultier and Marc Jacobs. She also appeared in David Bowie's music video for "The Stars (Come Out Tonight)" and has been cast in Sofia Coppola's planned adaptation of The Little Mermaid.
Pejic told the New York Times, she had been warned not to transition. “I wasn’t sure going into this what would happen with my career. There are agents that would tell me: ‘Don’t ever do it. Don’t transition. You’ll lose everything.’”
Pejic took to Instagram after the show to express her excitement about the new chapter in her life.
