NewNowNext Style: Grooming Perfected With The Gillette Fusion ProGlide Styler

Summer’s just about here, which means you’ll have to look your best from head to toe. And these days, guys are rocking a variety of grooming styles, from serious facial fuzz to major manscaping below the chin. The truth is there’s really no uniform look for summer 2013: “Men have started to embrace facial hair as a personal style—body hair, too,” says Gillette researcher Elliot Schwartz,

Engineered by the German geniuses at Braun, the Gillette ProGlide Styler is maneuverable and affordable, with the power and precision you need. And it's a great option whether you want to go all natural or rock a neatly trimmed look. What’s the secret? “‘Gliding’ is our word for the next-generation of razors," says Meaghan Hildreth from Gillette’s research team, who has helped to roll out the waterproof three-in-one razor, which tackles tough beards, chest hair and more. "With the ProGlide cartridge, that means there’s less tugging and less pulling than with the Fusion.".

Less tugging equals less discomfort. We like that.

Of course a razor is only as good as its blades and if you're like us, you're never quite sure when to ditch your old one. There’s no universal expiration date for blades, say our experts, but if it’s uncomfortable to shave, or it’s taking multiple swipes to make a dent in your stubble, it may be time to replace them. (And don’t let those lubrication strips run dry, either.)

What is true across-the-board is that you have to keep your look tight: “Even if you’re growing a beard, it’s got to be well kept—you have to take care of yourself,” says Schwartz, who's also the co-leader of Boston’s chapter of the company’s LGBT affinity group, GABLE. “Having facial hair or body hair isn’t an excuse to let it go wild and untamed.”

And that's an expert opinion, folks.
