Marc Jacobs and his man Lorenzo Martone; and Jacob's hot legs!
It's been a while since we've heard of any festive antics from Marc Jacobs. Which is why it's nice to see him out and about again. And prep yourself (and maybe do some squats to buff up your legs) because this season it's all about... TIGHTS!
Marc has cranked out a hot line of Stephen Sprouse-inspired goods for Louis Vuitton. And yep, check the tights. They're for guys! Hey, they look good on him, right? (I kinda love 'em, I gotta say.)
It's all part of the current Sprouse-tribute frenzy that Vuitton has amped up, as witnessed by a new launch of graffiti'ed gear. There's a big Sprousey retrospective at the Deitch Projects Gallery in NYC, and a new Stephen Sprouse book from Rizzoli. And yes, there've been parties around town fete-ing them all. Check out the pics after the jump!
And if you wanna know more, watch the lil' video below with Jacobs showing off his tights, chatting w/New York Magazine's Harriet Mays Powell.
After the jump, some party photos from all the Jacobs-Vuitton-Sprouse shindigs!

Fashion Week is ovah! But here’s one last video glimpse back at some of the glamour and mess that we found when we took a video camera to the glizty, ritzy, gay-riffic show put on by the downtown NYC design duo, David and Phillipe Blond. The pair (They're a couple! And as they told us, they like SEX!) design trippy, shiny, clubby pieces for the likes of Rihanna, Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Fergie. Their style is very much what would happen if Bob Mackie got kidnapped by a gaggle of diamond-encrusted club-kids at Trannyshack. Yay!
Have a look at the noisy clip! Spot guest stars like Aubrey O’Day and D. Woods from Danity Kane (for reals!), Lady Bunny, fashionista Andre J, Vanessa and Angela Simmons (they’re Run’s kids – from Run’s House – and they’re Russell Simmons nieces), Diddy survivor Laverne Cox, Michael Formika Jones, and other cute folks. And yes, you’ll see The Blonds themselves, with Phillipe Blond working the runway and both of them chatting giddily backstage after the show. Having fun with The Blonds: D. Woods, Angela Simmons, Amanda Lepore, Aubrey O'Day and Vanessa Simmons. Mercy... Enjoy, kids!
Oh, the perils of celebrity ... unlimited budgets, but so much pressure to look amazing ... they're entitled to the occasional fashion face-plant, aren't they? ... or their gay stylists are entitled?
Well, to close out our round of styles and trends dish for LOGO's fashionista hub NewNowNext Design - and to help me recover from these three disasters pictured above - I'm recapping some recent celeb outfits I've actually liked. But sometimes it's just so hard to move on...
I'm also trying to recover from this:
Aaand a little of this:

Since we here at NewNowNext are all about keeping you gays as cute and relevant as everyone expects you to be, how about a lesson in what some majuh gay mags - including Attitude, Genre and OUT - are forecasting for hot looks of summer '08? There will be visual aids to help the easily-distracted among you ... and by visual aids, I mean big pictures of practically-naked male models!
In my pain-staking research, I've gleaned this summer is all about teeny-tiny, box-cut, brightly-colored swimsuits. Right, now pull it just a little bit lower... It's also all about colorful underwear - or fundaroos, as I've heard them called - especially when they're paired with getting sprayed by a hose on the beach. White Fruit of the Looms are for straights, yo!
...So, yes, this one of the more blatant and tasteless hot-guy posts in this blog's history, but we're feeling shameless lately, OK? You can also check our NewNowNext Design page for what's new and up-and-coming in the world of style - not just in the world of ultra-revealing swimwear.
Or you can you just look at the man-pictures. There are plenty more after the jump ... but Warning! Excessive pube-creepage!

In Full Flower: Carrie's Back. Full disclosure: I saw the Sex and the City movie this past Friday night at a press screening here in NYC. I can’t give away any plot points but I can say it’s pretty damn fun. There’s drama and major life changes for Carrie and the gals. (Expect more on all of this later...)
But I’ve got to say the biggest impact made by the movie may just be the crazazy over-the-top visuals fashion-wise. It’s like a big fruit-salad of color and couture exploding all over your face with every new scene.
As has been reported, Sarah Jessica Parker has about 81 costume changes throughout the flick. She first appears sporting an updated version of her trademark flower (see above), and this one is straight out of little costume-shop of horrors. It’s gonna eat her, I think. But then it doesn’t. (Maybe that'll be on the DVD?)
Here’s a video all about the insane clothes that costume designer (and fabulously out NYC icon Patricia Field) corralled for this uber-glam film.
