Nicholas Brendon, Xander From "Buffy," Arrested At Idaho Comic Con

You can keep your Angel and your Spike—when it comes to Buffy eye candy, we were all about Xander. But now Nicholas Brendon, who played the adorkable slayer sidekick for six years, has been arrested for  "malicious injury to property" after an incident at a hotel in Boise, Idaho.

TMZ reports Brendon, who was in town for a local comic con, was also charged with "resisting or obstructing officers." The actor, who appeared drunk, allegedly broke a decorative dish and tried to walk away as police were talking to witnesses. He was released a few hours later on bond.

Brendon, who has sought treatment for alcoholism in the past, had a previous run-in with authorities in 2010, when he was tasered by Los Angeles police after trying to trying to punch an officer.

He's apparently mortified by this most recent incident and hopes to apologize to the hotel and the police: "It would be extremely helpful if we could all put this misunderstanding behind us and focus on more positive things," said a rep.

We would have gone with the whole "it wasn't me" defense—which, considering Brendon actually has a twin brother, could have worked.
