Nick Jonas has been busy since the Jonas Brothers called it quits—he's appeared on Hawaii 5-0,  and is getting to release two new movies, the thriller Careful What You Wish For and the martial arts movie Kingdom.

Now the youngest JoBro is releasing his first solo single, "Chains."

The smooth track is a far cry from Nick Jonas and the Administration, his previous side project, and ventures into Justin Timberlake territory. (Hey, if it works for one ex-Disney star...) Nick calls it "alternative pop with a soul-based vocals."

Of course, Nick is aware some diehard Jonas Brothers fans may rip their hair out over his change in style.  "There are those that want to come on and be understanding, but not everyone will," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "I gotta be bold enough to say that I love my fans and appreciate those that want to join me—and for those that don't, that's okay."
