We're All Friends Of Dorothy At "Night Of A Thousand Judys"

Alice Ripley, Barrett Foa and more join host Justin Sayre for an all-star benefit for the Ali Forney Center.

It's Pride month and queer genius Justin Sayre is back to honor a legend with the sixth annual Night of a Thousand Judys, featuring performances from top Broadway names honoring Frances Ethel Gumm (a.k.a. Judy Garland).

The evening, a benefit for New York's Ali Forney Center, includes Lillias White (Fela!), Alice Ripley (American Psycho), Barrett Foa (Avenue Q), Annie Golden (Violet), Nathan Lee Graham (Wig Out), Lady Rizo, Gay Marshall, Carol Lipnik and more.

Sayre, author of the YA novel Husky, has entertained thousands with The Meeting, his monthly revue skewering pop culture, politics and more.

Launched in 2011, Night of a Thousand Judys has welcomed top talents including Madeleine Peyroux, Nellie McKay, Carolee Carmello, Jackie Hoffman, Telly Leung and Rory O’Malley, as well as New York personalities Michael Musto and Frank DeCaro, among many others.

The sixth annual Night of a Thousand Judys is being held June 6 at 8pm at the Kaufman Center, 129 West 67th Street in New York.
