Olympia Dukakis, Justin Vivian Bond, Lance Horne At Night Of A Thousands Genders

gender family benefit

On Monday, December 2, Joe’s Pub in New York welcomes Night of a Thousand Genders, a benefit for the Ackerman Institute for the Family’s Gender & Family Project (GFP). At the downtown soiree, actress Olympia Dukakis (Tales of the City, Steel Magnolias) hosts performances by trans singers Justin Vivian Bond and Our Lady J and Broadway actor Telly Leung (Flower Drum Song, Glee), with musical direction by acclaimed composer Lance Horne.

Proceeds for the event go toward GFP’s work providing affirmative clinical services, professional training and community building for gender nonconforming youth and their families.
