NNN Exclusive: Melissa McCarthy, Sandra Bullock On Hurling Insults In "The Heat"

Things are certainly heating up for Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy: The pair play good cop/crazy cop in Paul Feig's hilarious new buddy comedy, The Heat. NewNowNext's Dan Avery sat down with the stars to talk about the film from Bridesmaids director Paul Feig, that's more in the spirit of Starsky & Hutch and Magnum P.I. than cliche chick flicks.

As Sarah Ashburn and Shannon Mullins, the ladies are busy cutting on each other, dealing with family crises and, oh yeah, taking down a ruthless drug lord. But a real bond is formed between these two bad-asses. (Their relationship is actually the closest thing The Heat has to a romantic interest.) Above, Bullock and McCarthy talk improv, hurtling insults and the unspoken love between their characters.
