“Noah’s Arc” Cast Reunites for Special “‘Rona Chronicles” Episode

The reunion will celebrate the groundbreaking series' 15th anniversary.

Break out the ponchos and cargo pants because Noah, Alex, Ricky, and Chance are back.

The classic LGBTQ series Noah’s Arc, about a group of friends trying to navigate the gay dating scene in Los Angeles, ran on Logo from 2005–2007 and wrapped up with the 2008 feature film, Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom.

The cast is now reuniting 12 years later for Noah’s Arc: The ’Rona Chronicles, a special episode written and directed by series creator Patrik-Ian Polk. GLAAD has announced that the reunion, sponsored by Gilead, will bring back “original cast to see what the characters are doing during COVID-19 and the current #BlackLivesMatter protests.” The event will stream on Patrik-Ian Polk Entertainment’s YouTube and Facebook pages on July 5 to commemorate the show’s 15-year anniversary.

The virtual reunion will kick off with a pre-show tailgate party featuring clips from the series and fan testimonial videos presented by MOBI (Mobilizing Our Brothers Initiative).

Following The Rona Chronicles, there will be a post-show live Q&A with original cast members Darryl Stephens, Jensen Atwood, Rodney Chester, Doug Spearman, Christian Vincent, and Gregory Kieth. Queer Eye star Karamo Brown will moderate.

The event will also raise money for a host of Black-led LGBTQ organizations via a GoFundMe started by Polk. The showrunner hopes to raise $100,000, which will be “split among seven nonprofits,” including G.L.I.T.S (Gays & Lesbians Living In a Transgender Society), Casa Ruby, and more.

“Not a day goes by that I don’t get messages, tweets, DMs, and emails from the huge Noah’s Arc fanbase saying how much they love & miss the show and begging for a reboot,” Polk said in a press release announcing the reunion. “While we’ve all struggled to stay sane during these stressful and trying times, the cast and I wanted to do something special to show our appreciation for all the love we continue to receive from the fans as well as address what’s going on in the country.”

Noah’s Arc: The ’Rona Chronicles will stream Sunday, July 5 at 8pm ET/5pm PT on Patrik-Ian Polk Entertainment’s YouTube and Facebook pages. If this news has you in the mood to watch some classic Noah’s Arc episodes, Logo will be airing a marathon featuring every episode of the groundbreaking series starting Thursday, June 18 at 9:30pm ET.
