Our favorite potty-mouthed comedian, Joan Rivers is being sued by her former “personal manager,” Billy Sammeth.
According to TMZ, Billy claims he was never compensated for restoring Joan’s “dormant career.” The self-proclaimed mastermind behind her appearance on Celebrity Apprentice and her documentary film says Rivers owes him $179k – oh, the high price of fame!
But, it doesn’t stop there. Billy also claims he was defamed in the new documentary film Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, portrayed by filmmakers as a “disappeared” manager. He is suing Rivers and the production company for 2.2 million dollars. Can you say bitter?
A rep from Joan’s camp released a statement saying she is “confident that the judicial system will dispose of Mr. Sammeth’s lawsuit in an appropriate manner.”
Poor Joan!
But, on a brighter note, watch the trailer for Joan’s fabulous new documentary after the jump!
