Nyle DiMarco's Waltz Earns A Perfect Score On "Dancing With The Stars"

#TeamNyle for the win!

Nyle DiMarco received the first perfect '10' of the season on Dancing With the Stars last night, dancing a Viennese Waltz to "I Get to Love You" by Ruelle with a new partner, Sharna Burgess.

DiMarco was dancing with Burgess as part of "Switch Up night," and became emotional after their flawless routine because they'd nailed their performance despite only having a short time to train together. As we already know, he works closely with his regular partner, Peta Murgatroyd, using a series of taps to keep on beat.

"I think this week I was nervous about working with someone new and then we got out there tonight and we killed it," DiMarco told Us Weekly after the show. "I know as a deaf person I can work with anyone and anyone can work with me, but I was proud we achieved that and showed anybody can work with anybody. So I got emotional about it," he revealed.

He added: "Right before we danced I wanted to think about what it was like to be in love and incorporate that with Sharna. And Sharna did a great job connecting with me and I just felt like it was like being in a relationship, so by the end of our dance, I was starting to well up!"

Said judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who was also reduced to tears: "You take my breath away, and Im not alone I can tell. At first, I thought at the beginning of this competition you were at a disadvantage but when I watch you perform, I realize that you’re at an advantage because you’ve been telling stories with your whole body and communicating with your body your whole life. You were born to dance."

Also in the audience last night was America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks, who crowned Nyle the winner of the show's final season last year.

Referring to her as "a mother figure to me," Nyle said of his relationship with the supermodel: "Tyra and I have a deep connection and I think we both know it. I think Tyra really saw me grow. I went into America's Next Top Model and I was an amateur, I didn't even know what modeling was. By the end when I won and now Tyra coming here to see me dance, I think, 'Wow! So much has changed for me!'"
