Olympic Moment(s) of the Day: Ryan Lochte's Secret Workout

Last night, Michael Phelps and Gabby Douglas took home the gold for team USA in swimming and gymnastics, respectively. In other news, they do not waste that spotlight--both are just about the most endearing people you can watch on TV. Gabby Douglas especially held out on smiling until she won, and commentators afterwards couldn't stop talking about that megawatt winner's grin. It's cute when people achieve their lifelong dreams and are really bubbly and happy about it!

Other things you may have missed:

  • Ryan Lochte's mom retracts her statement about the one-night stands and just meant to say that Ryan likes to go on small dates and then never call the girls again. Ouch.

  • You can see Michael Phelps' swimming times from when he was nine years old. And, uh, he was almost Olympic-worthy even back then. Terrifying.

  • Want Ryan Lochte's "abs of steel" (his words, not mine)? Doesn't matter, he's making a workout video, and it's "Hard-CORE" (again, his words, not mine).
