The only boy band to ever accomplish the seemingly impossible feat of only having attractive members, One Direction, stopped by Today this morning, much to the delight of tweens, teens and gay men everywhere. And, no doubt, much to the delight of the ratings starved Today, whose Rockefeller Plaza space was overrun with crazed 1D fans and their beleaguered parents.

After singing some songs the adorable Brits, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, sat down with the hard hitting investigative reporting duo that is Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie to answer questions about life, love, Twitter and their new documentary film, One Direction: This is Us.

The NYPD estimated 18,000 fans showed up for the big performance, which is roughly 5,000 more people than were actually watching Today this morning.

Check it out above. And check out the boys this Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards.
