On Monday’s Hallmark Channel talk show Marie, One Life To Live’s Lothario Tuc Watkins talks to Marie Osmond about being a gay single dad to twins Catchen and Curtis, recently welcomed via surrogate.

The actor says that while playing Bob Hunter on Desperate Housewives, he was playing a gay man who was trying to adopt a kid with his husband, while in real life he was a gay single man trying to have child via surrogacy.

The actor tells Marie he knew three things when he was young. “I knew I was gay [and] I knew one day I was going to be a dad.” What was the third thing?

Tuc is set to reprise his role on One Life to Live when the show relaunches online on April 29th. Tuc says the role is his favorite, ““David is one of the greatest characters I’ve played—he’s a buffoon who thinks he’s a genius.”
