Opening Ceremony celebrates the opening of their London location with an OC x adidas Originals tribute to the Olympics complete with an early 90s twist. This unisex capsule collection of about 70 pieces of apparel features a variety of prints from florals, to 90s inspired splatter painting, to the OC iconic bandana print. As for the 20 pieces of footwear, look for inspiration from the 90s jelly sandal and Opening Ceremony’s iteration of the classic Samba trainer with an addition of a new BMX-style high-top sneaker.
For women we see a wide range of looks from printed outerwear to swimwear and form-fitting bike suits with mix and match printed neoprene separates. However our eye is mostly on the mens collection as all-over-prints are huge right now, this collection certainly follows suit and isn’t afraid of a little pattern on pattern action.
We’re loving the bandana print oversized neoprene parka and bandana print top, but our favorite look from this collection has to be the watercolor/splatter paint bike looks seen below.
This is the first time adidas Originals collaborated with Opening Ceremony and with this strong of an opener, we can only hope for more. Get your game faces on because the premiere collection drops later this summer at selected OC stores as well as online and it’s certain to go fast.
