Oprah Serves Gay Megachurch Drama In New OWN Series, "Greenleaf"

Of course there's a gay storyline.

In honor of the fifth anniversary of the final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, here is the trailer for the talk show queen's new OWN series, Greenleaf.

The series follows the minister of a corrupt megachurch and his family as their adult daughter returns, and secrets from the past that have been long buried are brought back up to the surface.

Greenleaf is executive produced by Winfrey and created by Craig Wright, a writer on Six Feet Under and creator of Dirty, Sexy, Money. The series stars Keith David, Lynn Whitfield and Oprah, herself as an advice-spouting aunt.

Watch the extended trailer below, and keep an eye out for what looks to be a gay storyline on this summer's juiciest soap:

Greenleaf will have a two-night premiere event June 21 & 22 on OWN.
