Oscars "In Memoriam" Segment Snubs Joan Rivers

For most of us, Joan Rivers was the Oscars: Whether reading a look or mispronouncing a name, Joan basically invented the red-carpet coverage.

But when it came time for the Academy Awards to do its annual In Memoriam segment, her name was nowhere to be seen.

Okay, maybe interviewing the stars outside the theater won't earn you a mention, but Joan acted in several films—including Spaceballs, Muppets Take Manhattan and The Rabbit Test, which she wrote and directed.

Daughter Melissa had a bit part in the movie, and her late husband, Edgar Rosenberg was producer. Rabbit Test also marked the feature film debuts of Michael Keaton and Billy Crystal.

No disrespect to the talented artists and craftspeople who were acknowledged, but what does Joan River have to do to get some respect from Hollywood?
