Out Country Singer Steve Grand Defends Insanely Hot Banana Hammock
Out country singer Steve Grand recently posted a glorious photo on Instagram of himself with two friends on a boat.
The best part of the photo was obviously Grand’s choice of swimwear, which appeared to just be a thin pair of briefs specifically designed to transform his package into some magnificent low-hanging fruit:
This is the Internet, so people naturally had a lot to say about it.
Grand was criticized for being “immodest” and “stereotypically gay" by a number of commenters, who he responded to in a recent interview with Underwear News Briefs.
"There is a time and place for modesty, but, for me at least, a hot summer day in Chicago, on a boat with a bunch of other gay dudes is not one of them," he said. "And frankly I don’t care what some may consider to be a gay stereotype or not, and anyone using that as some kind of jab is probably grappling with their own internalized homophobia. I wear what makes me happy."
He continued: “It’s all in good fun and I don’t take it too seriously. I don’t ask anyone to post those kinds of things but it does create the possibility that someone, who was unaware of me before, ends up becoming a fan, buys music, and attends a live performance, which is how I make money to eat and pay my bills. So I have to be happy for that reason.”
Keep paying Steve Grand’s bills, haters! And in the meantime, Steve, please continue posting photos like this.
