“RuPaul’s Drag Race” Stars On The Creation Of Their Iconic Looks In New Logo Digital Series, “Out Of The Closet”

"The idea that drag and fashion would be separate has never made any sense to me."

Better grab a hostess present because the RuPaul’s Drag Race queens are throwing back the curtain and inviting you into their homes for a closet kiki.

Out of the Closet, a new digital series from Logo, takes viewers inside the living spaces of your favorite queens with a behind-the-scenes tour of their closets, and all of their eleganza ensembles kept inside.

The first season consists of six episodes and each installment will focus on a different queen from Drag Race herstory. The premiere episode features the current reigning America’s next drag superstar, Sasha Velour. Following episodes will focus on Acid Betty, Aja, Alexis Michelle, Kimora Blac and Manila Luzon.

In the videos, the queens will take you through their closets and highlight their favorite outfits they wore on the Drag Race runway and the backstory on some of their most iconic looks.

“The idea that drag and fashion would be separate has never made any sense to me,” Sasha says in a new preview for the series. “How great is it to see a drag queen or drag king in an amazing look? That is enough.”

Are you gagged? Are you gooped? Are you already dreaming about what treasures are waiting for you in the queens’ closets?

Watch a teaser for the new series below and starting April 17, head over to Logo’s website every Tuesday at 12pm for a new episode of Out of the Closet.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on VH1.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
