Paparazzo Asks Eric McCormack If He Regrets Role On "Will & Grace" – His Reaction Says It All

"I don't think you have to have actually slept with a man in order to play a gay man... you just have to empathize and care."

I don't know about you but when I think Empire, I immediately think Eric McCormack... said no one ever.

However, some paparazzo found himself in the presence of the former Will & Grace star and decided to grill him about recent remarks made by Diddy's son Quincy, who, when also approached by a paparazzo, said he would have passed on the opportunity to play Jamal on Empire, citing his lack of experience as an actor.

"Who is that? McCormack first asks.

He was then asked if playing a gay role hindered him or jeopardized his opportunity to play other roles. "I didn't think about it at the time, McCormack explained. "I don't think you can judge your character or worry about what you're doing, you have to commit. I knew I was doing a great show."

"So you don't regret it?" the pap asks.

"Not at all," McCormack says, looking puzzled by the mere though. "Best thing I ever did. I've played murderers and I've never killed anybody. I've played accountants and I can't add anything up. I don't think you have to have actually slept with a man in order to play a gay man... you just have to empathize and care."
