The children are bringing it... to the big screen.

Paris Is Burning, one of the most iconic and influential queer films of all time is returning to theaters just in time for Pride. Starting June 14 the 1991 documentary will have a two-week run at New York's Film Forum arthouse theater, in a restoration supervised by director Jennie Livingston.

After the New York engagement, Paris Is Burning will have a national roll out to keep the ball going throughout the summer.

The documentary's New York run is a homecoming for the film, since it originally premiered at Film Forum back in 1991, and had a blockbuster six month run at the theater. With Paris Is Burning returning to theaters and Pose Season 2, ball culture will be all the rage this summer.
