Paris Jackson Opens Up About Her Sexuality on Instagram

"Who needs labels?" wrote the 20-year-old model.

Paris Jackson is putting Instagram's new Q&A feature to good use: This weekend, the 20-year-old opened up about her sexuality to her 3.2 million followers.

The model and daughter of the late Michael Jackson told followers to ask her questions on Instagram Stories. When one fan asked if she bi, Jackson replied, "That's what you guys call it, so I guess, but who needs labels?"

Jackson's sexuality has been the subject of speculation for more than a year, especially since she never formally came out to the public. Last April, she attended the 2017 GLAAD Media Awards, presenting the award for Outstanding Comedy Series alongside Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany. That same month, a source close to Jackson told Radar Online that she "made no secret of having crushes on girls in the past and wants to keep her options open."

And in August, Jackson told her Twitter followers that Beyoncé was "definitely my first crush."

Since her original Instagram Story blew up, Jackson took to social media this morning to clarify her statement. "I came out when I was 14," she wrote. "I've referred to the community as 'my fellow LGBTQ+' on stage before. I talked about having a crush on girls when I was 8 in my Rolling Stone article... Why are people just now saying this is news?"

"And I'm not 'bisexual,'" she added. "I just love people for people. I don't label myself, so please don't label me."
