Paris Terror Suspect Who Frequented Gay Bars Has Been Found In Brussels

Salah Abdeslam is now in police custody.

Salah Abdeslam, the last remaining suspect in the Paris terror attacks last November, has been captured in Brussels.

Gunshots were heard in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, and its believe Abdeslam was shot in the leg but otherwise unharmed.

Abdeslam, 26, grew up in Brussels, though he had French citizenship. Authorities believe he played a key role in organizing the November 13 attacks that killed 130 people, and drove several other suspects to their destinations.

After the attacks, sources reported that Abdeslam frequently habituated Brussels' gay neighborhood, "Jacques Quarter," but its not clear if he was looking for a sexual liaison or to steal IDs.

Bartenders say he was at the bars so often, they assumed Abdeslam was a prostitute.

Rumors circulated that stories about Abdeslam being in gay bars were invented by authorities to turn him into a pariah among his compatriots, but those claims have been dispelled.
