Pat Robertson Warns That Marriage Equality Will Lead To Bestiality, Pedophilia And Polygamy
Pat Robertson is running his mouth amok once again, this time laying in to SCOTUS' landmark Marriage Equality verdict by comparing two men marrying one another to bestiality, pedophilia and polygamy.
Robertson–who last time we checked in with him was telling a mom to send her lesbian teen to Christian camp to "straighten things out"–fielded a question during a taping of The 700 Club asking about an anti-choice group’s editing of a video targeting Planned Parenthood.
Somehow the conversation devolved into Robertson criticizing the Supreme Court for its recent historic ruling in the Obergefell v. Hodges case.
"The Supreme Court has ruled on so many things," says Robertson, "and they've messed things up. You watch what's going to happen now. They've just said abortion is a constitution right, homosexuality is a constitutional right, they've said now homosexual marriage is a constitutional right. Watch what happens: Love affairs between men and animals are going to be absolutely permitted. Polygamy without question is going to be permitted and it will be called alright..."
Co-host Terry Meeuwsen jumped in, adding, "Relationships with children. There have been groups that have been trying to push that for a long time."
"And they'll succeed," Robertson continued. "Intellectually, you can't get around these Supreme Court decisions. The problem is, the people can't move any longer. Their elected officials can't make any decisions and consequently we are stuck with a fixed doctrine of 5 old men with black robes on the Supreme Court."
Actually, Pat, there are 9 people on the Supreme Court, 3 of whom are women. Just saying!
