Patti LaBelle Joins VH1’s “Divas Holiday” Special

Very special Christmas.

Break out the sweet potato pie: Patti LaBelle is joining VH1’s Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night special, joining Mariah Carey at Brooklyn’s King Theater for the first Divas special in four years.

“I’m so thrilled to share the VH1 Divas stage with Mariah, who is not only an incredible performer, but also my goddaughter,” LaBelle said in a statement.

LaBelle’s first Divas appearance was in 2004, when she headlined a concert benefiting VH1’s Save the Music Foundation. She’s also a veteran Christmas caroler, having released two holiday albums: This Christmas (1990) and Miss Patti’s Christmas (2007).

Divas Holiday airs December 5 at 9pm on VH1 and Logo.
