Patti LaBelle Invited James Wright To Thanksgiving Dinner For Fresh Sweet Potato Pie

The new BFFs are celebrating Thanksgiving together!

Patti LaBelle previously told TMZ that insatiable demand for her sweet potato pie this holiday season had nothing to do with James Wright, the man who turned the Walmart-exclusive food item into a viral sensation with one hilarious review. She's just a great business lady!

But the holidays may have softened Patti up because now, she's finally ready to admit Wright played a huge role in making the pie a hit.

The 71-year-old soul sister told Quincy Harris of Good Morning Philadelphia this week that she owes her new friend a bit of credit, and will be cooking for him this Thanksgiving.

“This pie has been doing really well. My new friend, James Wright, did this fierce video and took the pie over the top, and people are losing their minds about the pie. Thank you, James," she said. "We’re going to be together in Philly. He’s spending Thanksgiving with Miss Patti. I’m going to cook for him."

On top of being treated to a fresh batch of her sweet potato pie (O. M. G.), James will enjoy four fried turkeys, brisket, macaroni and shrimp, potato salad, kale, cabbage, salad, candied yams, peach cobbler, chocolate cake, and leg of lamb.

"You give love to people who give you love," she said. "And you know, I didn’t expect a viral video."

We hope these two find time to gather 'round the piano for a duet or five!
