"Circa 2002, when Adam Lambert was singing with The Club Makeup Band with Willam, a then unknown Ke$ha mounted him at Jumbo's Clown Room and a child was born," says international recording star Willam. "That child will star in a reboot of Small Wonder on Nick Jr. this fall." The Times has pointed to Adam Lambert as the first openly gay mainstream pop artist in the U.S., but before that he started out as a mere contestant on the FOX show, American Idol. Though he finished as a runner-up on the eighth season, he became hugely popular for his theatrical performances that continuously pushed the envelope and impressed the judges. Throughout the competition, there was a lot of speculation concerning his sexuality; after the show was over, he came out as gay in a Rolling Stone interview. He was given a record deal with RCA and his debut album, For Your Entertainment proved to be a smash hit, selling 198,000 copies in its first week in the U.S. He is known for supporting various charities and being an advocate for the LGBT movement.
