Alex Pettyfer was raised in Windsor, England but moved to Los Angeles as a teenager to find an agent. He found luck in the States when he was handpicked by author Anthony Horowitz to star in the film adaptation of his book, Stormbreaker. He then acted opposite Vanessa Hudgens in Beastly and most recently appeared as Adam in the stripper comedy, Magic Mike.
