Few artists make as big an impact on the entertainment industry as Lady Gaga has, who became a household name in 2008 with the release of her debut album, "The Fame." At 4, she began playing the piano and wrote her first ballad at the age of 13. At 17, she was one of twenty students in the world to gain early admission to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts but dropped out her sophomore year to focus on her music career. In 2011 she was named the "Queen of Pop" by Rolling Stone Magazine and even landed on Time's "100 Most Influential People List." Her emergence on the pop scene has resulted in other female mainstream artists adopting her brand of eccentric, futuristic fashion. Lady Gaga is also one of the most famous advocates for self-acceptance and anti-bullying; she has her own charity, called the Born This Way Foundation. HIDE
