Lou (aka “Big Lou”) Verdi was born in 1948 and raised in South Philadelphia.  Lou was involved in organized crime as part of the Bruno Crime Family in the 1970’s and his bar, La Strada Café, was a front for his illegal activities which included book-making, numbers running and loan-sharking. Lou served his time, having been in and out of prison at least half a dozen times in his life, but now spends his time in LA with two of his children, Michel and Louis, his son-in-law, Jay, and his beloved dog, Cody whom he found roaming the streets of South Philly two years ago.  The "Archie Bunker" of the family, "Big Lou" will always tell you exactly what's on his mind - for better or worse.
