Pete Buttigieg Gets Sensual, Slow-Jams the News With Jimmy Fallon

"Ever since he declared his candidacy, America's been all hot and bothered for him."

In the words of Jimmy Fallon, "Court is in session—and the honorable Booty-Judge is presiding."

Out presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Monday, May 13, taking a deep dive with the late show host on all things politics and pop culture.

He even played along for Slow Jam the News, a recurring segment on the show in which Fallon, a backup musician, and his guest break down the news in a slower, more sensual style.

To his credit, Mayor Pete takes Fallon's innuendos in stride, detailing some of the finer points of his campaign platform—like his plan to tour around the country in a bus leading up to the Democratic primaries next year. Gives a whole new meaning to "Booty booty booty / Rockin' everywhere," huh?

Buttigieg also noted that he was the first Democratic presidential candidate to appear on a Fox News segment, adding that he "[wants] to invite everyone to join this campaign—Democrats and Republicans." Of course, Fallon had to poke some fun: "Democrats and Republicans? So what you're saying is...you go both ways?"

To which Buttigieg deadpans, "No, I'm just gay."
